I have been working as a physiotherapist in adult rehabilitation at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, for the last 15 years. This has involved providing specialist rehabilitation to spinal injured individuals, staff mentorship and service development. I have presented and had numerous poster presentations accepted at international conferences and aided with the establishment of a spinal injury unit in Tanzania, East Africa, through providing training and education.
I have recently completed an MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in Neurological Rehabilitation at the University of Plymouth in a year. My special interests include management of the incomplete spinal cord injured individual, gait re-education and body weight support systems. In my spare time, I like to walk my dog, cycle and sea swim.
