Professor Karen Saunders
Karen is a Consultant Research Fellow neuro-physiotherapist and a core member of the Cross Specialty Research Team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
Karen works independently clinically with people, who have been diagnosed with neurological conditions, and has over 20 years experience in this area. She is also a PhD student at the University of Kent, where she has been awarded a scholarship grant from the National Institute of Heath Research Applied Research Collaboration for Kent Surrey and Sussex. Karen trained in Qualitative Research Methods at the University of Oxford and is currently working on 5 qualitative research studies including her PhD. In recognition of her teaching and educational roles supporting students and colleagues in Bangladesh, India, US and UK over the past 6 years, Karen has been appointed as an Honorary Professor in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Jashore University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh.
