Prof Michael Barnes
Prof Barnes is Honorary Professor of Neurological Rehabilitation at the University of Newcastle. He has been at the forefront of the campaign to legalise cannabis for medical use which was ultimately successful in November 2018. He obtained the first cannabis license in the UK for Alfie Dingley who had intractable epilepsy and who now has made a remarkable improvement on the medicine. He continues to argue for greater availability of cannabis for many conditions.
