Stephen Barabas is a graduate of Glasgow University. He is an Honorary Laser Consultant at St Thomas and Guy’s Hospital in London. He runs two companies: a human medical company, K-Laser UK Ltd, working with the NHS, sports franchises and private healthcare using Class IV K-Laser therapy (treating diabetic wounds, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain syndromes). VBS Direct, providing innovative equipment to vet practices and animal rehab specialists. He lectures and continues to set up research projects to improve our techniques and medical equipment to improve quality of healing and pain management.

Class IV Therapy Laser for Neurorehabilitation and Pain Management

This seminar will demonstrate the increase in global scientific knowledge about photobiostimulation (infra-red photon energy) and advances in medical laser therapy equipment for stimulating nerve cell rehabilitation and function, including the management of chronic pain disorders. Enhancement in laser therapy equipment have enabled deep tissue penetration in short treatment times, fitting in with existing medical, surgical and manual therapy techniques and improving end patient clinical outcomes.
