This paper will describe the implementation of Dynamical Neurofeedback and Bioregulation Therapy (BRT) in a secure psychiatric hospital and a high secure prison within the UK. The authors work with people with complex, longstanding issues including a history of childhood trauma and neglect in addition to adult offending, ASD, ADHD, self-harming and addictive behaviours. They will describe the cultural and systemic barriers that had to be overcome to offer a unique approach to health and wellness that uses biofeedback and PEMF-based electromagnetic technology to help the body and the brain to better self-regulate, adapt and heal naturally. They will present results within forensic institutions in the UK and in engaging those who are resistant to participating in treatment. Finally, they will present case studies to demonstrate the benefits that can be gained when these barriers are overcome.
