Dr Srinivas Lanka MB.BS; MRCPsych

After his basic medical training in India, Sri pursued his core and higher psychiatric training in the UK. He then completed specialist training (CCT) in adult psychiatry with an accreditation in liaison psychiatry, with experience in neuropsychiatry and forensic psychiatry.

After working as a consultant psychiatrist in forensic mental health services in England and Wales, Sri joined Cygnet Health Care (then Cambian Group) in April 2015 as consultant Neuropsychiatrist to launch inpatient Neuropsychiatry unit, Cygnet Heathers. He was instrumental in developing Cygnet’s transitional community Neuropsychiatry service and launching Meadows Mews in August 2017.

Sri’s international research collaborations resulted in multiple publications in medical and psychiatric peer- reviewed scientific journals. His research interests include violence in hospital settings and alcohol related brain damage.

Sri acted as group R&D lead for CAS Behavioural Health from May 2016. Following merger with Cygnet, he assumed the role of Regional Medical Director for Midlands.

Sri is an avid cricket fan and supports Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

Measuring Outcomes in Neuropsychiatry

It’s essential for all stakeholders to be able to track the progress of service users at all times using an intuitive and holistic outcome measurement tool. Dr Lanka’s talk will focus on Cygnet Health Care’s outcome measurement tool, GAP-Np, which acts as a dashboard, detailing time sensitive progress in each clinical area of need, areas of concern and scope for further improvement.
