EEG oscillations during word processing can predict vulnerability to Alzheimer’s disease”

The ongoing EEG contains rhythmic activity produced by specific networks in the brain. These rhythms have been shown to capture the specific neural interaction involved in cognition. Here, I will present evidence that specific characteristics of brain rhythms during language can be used to assess the vulnerability of individuals to developing Alzheimer’s Disease. I will discuss future direction of this research with regards to both basic science and translational endeavors
