The Brain Charity Partners With European Neuro Convention
The Brain Charity is delighted to have been invited to take part in the European Neuro Convention at Birmingham NEC, along with two of our trustees, Professor Gus Baker and Dr Nicholas Silver who will be speakers at the event. The charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends, and carers. There are hundreds of different neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, dementia, brain haemorrhage, and many rarer conditions and we are here for every single one of them.
Professor Gus Baker will be speaking about the additional burden that having epilepsy places on those who have the condition from a psychological and neurological perspective and will consider the impact of living with the condition and how its treatment can be improved upon.
Dr Nicholas Silver is a consultant neurologist at the Walton Centre NHS Trust. He will talk about how headaches are diagnosed and treated and will look at new ways of merging treatments to optimise successful outcomes.
Both of our trustees are experts in their field and have numerous publications relating to their specialisms. Their talks are always very popular and very often standing room only!
The Brain Charity will be hosting a stand in the main convention hall and it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the work we do to a larger audience. We look forward to meeting as many visitors to the convention as possible in Birmingham on the 26th and 27th of March 2019.
